Tucked away in the rolling countryside of Gascony, La Grande Maurague is an intimate boutique bed & breakfast where tranquillity, understated elegance and genuine hospitality come naturally together.
Our story began with an unexpected stop in the Gers on our way to Spain. We fell in love with the region, its unspoilt landscapes, charming villages and gentle pace of life. What started as a holiday discovery became a new chapter in our lives.
After lovingly restoring our traditional Gascon country house, we created a place we would love to stay in ourselves.
Five spacious and individually styled rooms, a heated swimming pool, sun-drenched terraces and beautiful gardens invite you to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
Mornings begin with a leisurely breakfast, featuring homemade specialities and seasonal produce from our orchard and kitchen garden. Spend your days exploring the beautiful Gers, discovering local markets and vineyards, or simply enjoying the peace and privacy of our countryside retreat.
And of course, our two Shiba Inus, Marta and Juul, are always happy to welcome you.

La Table de Maurague
An intimate three-course dining experience inspired by the flavours of Gascony, with a complimentary aperitif.
Our culinary experiences are available by prior arrangement and subject to availability. La Table de Maurague is offered on selected evenings for a minimum of four guests.

Breakfast
A leisurely breakfast is included in your stay.
Enjoy fresh bread and croissants, local cheeses, homemade preserves, seasonal fruit, yoghurt and a selection of other morning favourites, served with coffee, tea and fruit juice.
Dining at La Grande Maurague
Discover the flavours of Gascony through our seasonal culinary offerings.
From Le Déjeuner au Jardin, a fresh and colourful garden-inspired lunch, to La Planche Gourmande, our generous selection of regional delicacies, and La Table de Maurague, an intimate three-course dining experience with a complimentary aperitif.

A Peaceful Adults-Only Retreat
La Grande Maurague welcomes guests aged 15 and over, ensuring a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for everyone.
Travelling with Your Dog
One small, well-behaved dog may be welcomed by prior arrangement, at an additional charge of €20 per day. Dogs may not be left unattended.
Parking & Electric Vehicles
Complimentary private parking is available on the property. An electric vehicle charging station is also available, with electricity charged separately according to usage.
Arrival & Departure
Check-in: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Check-out: by 11:00 am
Please let us know in advance if you expect to arrive outside our usual check-in hours.
Reservations & Cancellation Policy
A 30% deposit of the total stay is required to confirm a direct booking.
Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival, with a full refund of the deposit.
Cancellations less than 30 days before arrival: 100% of the total accommodation cost will be charged.
No-shows and early departures: No refund will be provided for unused nights.
We recommend taking out travel insurance to cover unexpected changes to your plans.
Minimum Stay
A minimum stay of two nights applies, with a three-night minimum during July and August.
Our rooms are designed to accommodate a maximum of two guests each.

An oasis of beauty and calm
My husband and I spent four glorious nights at La Grande Maurague when we were in the area to attend a wedding. The building itself as well as the setting were superb as was the attentiveness of our host, Els. Her attention to detail was unrivaled: in addition to serving a breakfast of homemade delights she answered all of our questions concerning local points of interest and restaurants.

Highly recommended in the Gers.
A wonderful stay in a beautifully restored country house with state-of-the-art finishes and accommodations. The landlady completes the picture. Beautiful walks through the deserted landscape with centuries-old villages and farmhouses. Or you can relax with a book in front of the fireplace. Highly recommended.

We spend 4 days with Els in her beautiful restored country house in the hills of Condom. The house is amazing, what gorgeous renovation did they do. Els is very hospitable and knows how to serve her clients, that she treats as friends. Highly recommended, we will return.
